Gamma-Linolenic Acid

A constituent of evening primrose oil, starflower oil, and human milk. GLA is a source of linolenic acid, one of the essential fatty acids. Linolenic acid is used in the body to form hormone-like substances called prostaglandins that play an important role in a number of metabolic processes.
