Noni Extract Recommend To Treat Colds And Flu
What's The Alternative?

December 12, 2004 - by Susan Clark, Sunday Times, London, England

Q. Last year, our Christmas holiday was ruined by a bad bout of flu that knocked us all off our feet. Can you suggest something we can take over the next few weeks to stop this happening again?

G Royston, by e-mail

A. The natural remedy you should ensure you have in your medicine chest this Christmas is noni juice, but in its more potent concentrate form. In early clinical trials in Bulgaria, researchers reported that noni concentrate could banish flu symptoms in as little as two hours; and in America, family doctors have reported using it successfully to ward off colds and flu.

Noni juice — also known as Indian mulberry — is a traditional Polynesian remedy that is used for a wide range of conditions. The juice is made from the fruit of the plant and, as it contains antioxidant vitamin C, it is plausible that a more concentrated form could give the immune system enough of a boost to help protect against unwelcome seasonal flu outbreaks.

Another reason existing fans of noni juice should consider switching to the concentrate is that the latter has no unpleasant aftertaste, making it more palatable to younger family members.
