LOS ANGELES, CA, April 24, 2006 —GlucoTrim®, Soft Gel Technologies, Inc.® (SGTI®) and OptiPure Brand Chemco Industries’ patented and clinically tested banaba leaf extract has been rebranded as GlucoFit™. GlucoFit™ is identical in composition and source to GlucoTrim®; only the name has changed. The GlucoTrim® registered trademark has been sold and is now held by another company. In the coming months, a major advertising campaign will be undertaken to promote GlucoFit™ and its benefits.

GlucoFit™ is a standardized extract of Banaba leaf (Lagerstroemia speciosa L.) containing 1% corosolic acid and tannins including Lagerstromine. The product has been demonstrated to support healthy blood glucose levels, and moderate weight loss was noted in clinical trials. Soft Gel Technologies, Inc.® and its sister company, OptiPure®, are the exclusive source for GlucoFit™ in soft gelatin capsules or in powder for tablet and two piece hard shell encapsulation. SGTI® currently holds U.S. Patent # 6,784,206 for the soft gelatin capsule formulation of banaba leaf extract, specifically, GlucoFit™.
